We would like to say GOOD LUCK but not goodbye to Dr Laura Skinner who left the practice at the end of June 21 to become a GP Partner at another practice, she will hopefully continue to attend the practice to run our Minor surgery clinic later in the year. We wish her all the best in her future career.
We would also like to welcome Dr Fatma Elias who will be joining the team as a Salaried GP on 1st October 21. More details to follow
We are aware that this is a difficult time for our patients and also for our staff who are all working hard to support our patients. We have approx 8300 patients who are registered at the practice and we are answering over 5000/6000 calls a month. Over the last 3 days we have taken over 800 calls. We have a dedicated team of receptionists who are taking your calls but we can only answer what is humanly possible and we have up to 6 team members answering calls all day long. Due to the pandemic we are dealing with a hugh demand for our services and we need to ensure our service is provided in a safe way. We have also noticed an increase in patients becoming abusive to our staff and this is not acceptable. Our staff should be able to attend work without fear and we support the NHS Zero Tolerance at the practice.
Please see attached phone information which shows how many calls are being answered and also the times during the day calls are coming into the practice. Our phone lines are open monday to friday 8am to 6.30pm. Please call before 11am for any urgent same day telephone or appointment requests. Once capacity is full you may be asked to call the following day or be directed to 111 or urgent care.
Please treat us with respect/We are here to help. Thank you
